I got an opportunity to conduct training program on Women Empowerment for ladies of JCI Umred coal Power. My audience comprised of housewives. Some of them were in the age group of 30 – 40 and rest were above 50 years. After the inaugural session they were giving me a blank look and were wondering what I will be training them about. I knew it would be a tough job to motivate them and communicate my thoughts to them but i took the challenge and started the training.

I conducted training program at Gurunanak School, Nagpur on 18th July 2012 for 9th standard students on Leadership. I entered the hall and there was pin drop silence. Mahek, President JCI Women's World introduced me to the students. After a formal introduction i started up with the training. The students were very eager to know as to what i will teach them on leadership. I asked them to assess themselves and do self analysis and then choose a future path of their career. Leadership is a journey, not an end or a destination. A leader works hard and carves a path for others to follow.

Baby

Every time i see my child i ask myself the same question, Have i given enough time to my child ? In the fast moving scenario, with growing responsibilities and so much work load we find it difficult to share quality time with our child. There is a difference between staying together in the same house with kids for 8 – 10 hours and spending quality time with them. I can be at home doing office work or just watching television. That is not quality time, quality time is just being with the child and concentrating on him/her. Playing, spending time together or watching movies.

Child holding hands of father and mother

Parents are role models to children. Parents play a major role in the upbringing of a child. The responsibility as a parent towards their children is a greater responsibility as one wrong doing can change the perception of the child towards the parent. It is easy to become a parent but sometimes it gets difficult to play the role. Parents nurture their children from the day they are born till they are grown enough to lead their own lives. Parents act as a guardian, friend, philosopher and guide to their children. Parents are whole world to their children.

Non Verbal Communication - Important part of Speech

Body language

We communicate non - verbally by means of gestures, postures, eye contact, facial expressions, body movements and our dressing. For example If i have to attend a marriage reception, i will be dressed with full make up and heavy jewellery and my outfit matches the occasion and conveys the same to the audience. I cannot attend a formal meeting with my client or go to office with heavy makeup as it will not match the occasion.

Soft Skills Training Institute

I never realized the impact of training till i enrolled for one and it changed my thought process and my life. I did not realized the power of positive words and its impact until i was struck by one. Soft skills training plays a vital role in a persons life but yes we have to realize that we need it and be a change we want to see. Hard skills will help us rise but we cannot enter and occupy the hearts of people until and unless we know how to communicate, what to communicate and when to communicate. Managers can do a great job if they know how to bring all people together and delegate work.
