Tata's Car NANO has really brought a revolution through out the world. Few years back owning a car was a dream for few people and few could afford just a bike or a scooter. Persons whose income was good and occupied the creamy layer of society could dream of a car and afford it. In todays scenario it is very difficult to believe that a Car comes for just Rs 1 Lac when you cannot affor a bike for less than Rs 65000. Nano has increased the afford ability of owning a car. Its like a dream come true. A person who can afford a bike can now afford a car too. This is what Tata's have done. People below Middle class level can now afford a car and they can dream of the whole family going out in a car. The mileage is good i.e 23 KM/Litre when compared to other cars. Though the basic versions lack AC and Music System inside a car but it is fully comfortable.
Tata's have understood the mindset of people who dont want much luxury but just want to own car for comfort and Pride.
When maruti 800 was launched its was thought that its very affordable and no car can be priced below it with such specifications and features, but now its a thing of the past. When Tata's announced that they will launch a 1 Lac car, people through out the globe wondered what Tata is upto and how is it possible to make such a less priced car.
World's best car makers say it is impossible to dream such a less priced car. We Indians are proud to have best technology and best brains which was utilised by Tata's in the making of this great car. The car is stylish and meets safety standards too as it is Bharat Stage III (Euro III) compliant. Tata's commitment of 1 Lac car is fulfilled but its a matter of big concern for other car makers who played in the same Middle and semi Middle Class segment. Now the question arises will people buy cars priced at 2 Lacs when they can afford a Car for just 1 Lac and utilize the left over capital in hand for some other purpose. Time has come when other Car makers have to think over and revamp their prices or just become Sick companies.
