'Fake saline' for health minister's mother in Jharkhand

Submitted by rashmijsr on Mon, 2007-08-06 07:46

We cannot trust hospitals and medicines now a days. Fake medicines have crowded the market so much that we cannot find out the difference. These fake medicines will do more harm than any good as they will increase the problem further.

Hospitals rather than looking after health of people are tarnishing their name by involving in fake medicines racket. This problem happened with one of health minister's mother who was suffering from diarrhea and her situation worsened on taking fake saline. Action was only taken when his father raised his voice.
I cant understand why we don't raise our voice when we see something wrong happening around us.
Are we people responsible for our suffering or is it someone else ? We all really need to find answer to these questions.

Why the hands of persons selling fake medicines dont tremble when they know they may be playing with some one's life and in future it may happen that any of his family member may be in trouble. Why the conscious doesn't speak ?

We really need to answer these questions so that we can stay in a healthy environment.

From article -

"Even being the health minister's mother apparently cannot ensure proper treatment in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand Health Minister Bhanu Pratap Shahi's father Hemendra Pratap has alleged that his wife's condition deteriorated Thursday after she was administered fake saline at a hospital here.

The mother of the health minister, who is suffering from diarrhoea, was admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) here, Wednesday night."
