I gifted Love You Zindagi My Journey to meet Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy book to Guardian Minister of Nagpur Dr. Nitin Kashinath Raut today i.e 8th March 2020.
It was indeed a great moment for me to gift my book to Guardian Minister of Nagpur. I got the confirmation yesterday on 7th March 2020 and I was allocated the time of 11:40 AM today i.e Sunday. I had submitted a letter to the minister’s office that I was interested in meeting him. It was the first time I was meeting a particular minister face to face. I had submitted my book, book summary as well as the letter of appointment one week ago. For the first time, I came to know that these high profile people have a packed up schedule.
When I reached the venue every person recognized my face and told me you are the Author who is interested in meeting the Minister and I said “Yes”. All these people had seen my book as well as my photo printed on the cover page of my book. They offered me a place to sit. I was humbled by their kindness.
When my allotted time slot came I went ahead and presented my book to Dr. Nitin Raut Ji. He humbly opened the wrapper of the book and took a few photographs with me. The best part is he opened the book in front of me and said you have gifted this book to me then why you did not mention it. He told me to write “With best compliments”. I wrote, “With best compliments to Nitin Raut Sir, From Rashmi Priya”.
A photographer was present from Times of India, Newspaper. I asked her to share the photographs with me. She sent me all the photographs of the event on my mobile. Sometimes few people humbleness touches your heart. I would describe it as one of those moments.
