How to Look Beautiful and have a flawless skin at the age of 40 Years

I am sure most of you want to look beautiful and have flawless skin throughout life. Aging takes a toll not only on the body but also on the skin. Especially for ladies who are nearing their Menopause, the skin feels dry, dull, develop acne, fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. When you are young you don’t have skin issues, it is only when you start aging that the skin develops certain problems due to changes in hormonal levels in the body. What you can do is worry less and find out a proper solution which will last long. It is easy to cover up everything with makeup but you are aware that the skin inside is not something which you want and you want to look beautiful even without makeup or cosmetics. Use cosmetics to enhance your beauty and not to cover your flaws. Friends, I am writing this article based on my own experience. I started having skin problems in my late 30’s and I knew I had to do something about it because cosmetics do cover up the flaws but they are chemical based and are sure to affect the skin negatively in the long run so I tried to find my own solution to the problems I was facing with my skin.

I enjoyed a super flawless skin in my teens and I really loved it so when I started developing skin problems I really got disheartened and thought to find out a solution which will make me look better and enhance my confidence level. I am a fitness freak. I believe a healthy body gives healthy skin. Some ladies go for quick fixes because they feel it is easy to do that because a long list of maintaining healthy skin is something which they cannot follow. I would say when you live a disciplined life you can find out time to take care of your skin and look much younger than your age. Just follow some small tips and guidelines and they will not only enhance your looks but also make you feel much more energetic than what you felt before.

Exercise because there is no substitute for it. If you love doing yoga than its great because yoga not only helps you develop great skin but also has a healing effect on your body. I personally do Paschimottanasana every day for half an hour without fail. If you are a working mom or cannot dedicate too much time for exercise just try to do 15 minutes of workout daily. It will help you in the long run. The benefit of doing yoga is that it helps in calming my mind and stretches my body. I have felt a new me from the time I started doing yoga. My skin, my hairs, and my overall body feel great. I developed a great figure and it helped me in wearing different clothes and even get remarks for how younger I looked than people of my age.

Get into a habit of drinking 10-15 glasses of water daily and you can increase the amount if you are comfortable with it. Water flushes all the toxins from your body and hydrates your skin. This hydration prevents the development of fine lines on your face. Eat a balanced diet which includes fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins. Avoid eating too much junk food or carbonated drinks which are not good for your body. Eat your dal, rice, chapati and don’t think that those who have great skin eat something which you don’t have an idea of. I am full vegetarian and I manage to get my protein level from my food. Eating a well-balanced diet rich in proteins will help you in maintaining good hemoglobin levels. The right hemoglobin level in the body will make your face look brighter and younger. Less hemoglobin in the body leads to dull and dry skin.

Eat correctly and make your health your first priority. You may be having super busy lives and feel comfortable to order food which tastes good but keep in mind that home cooked food is much healthier than what is ordered from a Restaurant. Cook dal rice or Khichri if you do not have much time but eat right. I know most of us get so much career oriented that we cannot find time for our own self. Find out time to cook and eat good food.

Moisturize your skin with a good moisturizer because you need to nourish your skin regularly so that it glows from within. Develop the habit of applying moisturizer on your face after you have cleaned your face at bedtime because the cream will soak in your face and nourish it while you are sleeping. People who have great skin have not developed it in a day but they really take good care of their skin every day.

Develop a positive attitude and be at peace because stress not only takes a toll on your body but also on your skin. Add turmeric to your diet. Look for good quality turmeric and add it to your food. Eating turmeric daily gives you a glow from within. Turmeric is called the golden herb. I eat a half tablespoon of turmeric with a pinch of black pepper daily with my breakfast and I make sure that it is fully absorbed in my body. I also use homemade turmeric face packs to add a glow to my face. Take two tablespoons of honey and add a 1/4th tablespoon of turmeric to it. Mix well and apply it all over the face. Keep for up to 10 minutes and wash off with soap and water. I know the face looks yellow after the application of the face pack. Just apply a good moisturizer and then clean the face with tissue paper. Then leave and let your face absorb the goodness of turmeric. I also clean my face with sugar and honey face pack. Take one tablespoon of powdered sugar and add two tablespoons of honey to it Apply all over the face and leave for 15 minutes. Then remove the face pack by moving your fingers in circular motion. It will help in cleaning your face and add that glow to your skin. Apply milk on your skin. You can keep milk contained in silverware to which you have added some turmeric. Let this mixture soak overnight. Then apply this before bathing. You will feel a different skin tone.

These small tips not only help you in getting a glowing skin but also helps you in getting a great body. Just start doing and I am sure you will develop a great glowing skin and get remarks for how much younger you look. Look beautiful and be beautiful from inside.
